BLANTON BRADLEY (Musical Director/Arranger) Blanton has worked with SPARC in many capacities, most recently as the musical director for Pippin. He has also been musical director for SPARC's ensemble, SPARC On Tour, and was the co-author and arranger for the SummerStarz touring ensemble since its inception. Blanton has taught music at the College of William & Mary, and is currently the musical director for The Richmond Ballet.
JOE DORAN (Production Manager) received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the North Carolina School of the Arts and is pursuing a career in theater design and stage management in New York City. In New York, Joe works as the Production Manager and a Teaching Artist with the Education Department for the Roundabout Theatre Company. His recent local work includes designs and stage management at Dogwood Dell, Lee Playhouse, Henrico Theatre Company, Richmond Triangle Players, The Barksdale Theatre, Swift Creek Mill Theatre and Theatre IV.
KYM MINCKS (Costumer) is a William and Mary graduate known for her talents in the south of Richmond theatre scene. She is a veteran of 20+ productions at the Lee Playhouse, including lead roles in My Fair Lady, Camelot, Brigadoon and most recently as Glinda in The Wizard of Oz and Maudie in To Kill A Mockingbird. Kym has also appeared in several of Swift Creek Mill's Youth Theatre Productions, including Merlin's Last Miracle, The Miracle Worker, and The Brementown Musicians. As a costumer, Kym has also outfitted numerous productions for the Lee Playhouse and Colonial Heights Children's Theatre.
MERCEDES SCHAUM (Scenic Designer) has designed locally for Theatre IV and Barksdale Theatre on such shows as Annie Get Your Gun, Song of Mulan, Honk, and The Secret Garden. She has an MFA from the University of Illinois and a BA from James Madison University in Theatre. Mercedes has also designed for the Center of Puppetry Arts and the Horizon Theatre Company in Atlanta, Georgia. Her credits include I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change!, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Rumplestiltskin, Hambone, The Lonesome West, Blithe Spirit, and SubUrbia.
PAM TURNER (Choreographer) earned her degree in dance from the N. C. School of the Arts and then continued her studies in New York for several years. She has taught at VCU, The Tidewater Ballet, choreographed for the New Virginians at Va. Tech, Paramount's Kings Dominion, The Miss Virginia and Miss North Carolina pageants, local commercials and videos, and every SPARC summer musical since Oliver! in 1990. Pam is the Artistic Director of Richmond Dance Center.
TOM WIDTH (Director) is no stranger to Richmond theatre, having worked as a director, designer, actor, and technician here for more than 100 productions. He is currently the Artistic Director at Swift Creek Mill Theatre. Besides directing seven summer musicals for SPARC, Tom has directed for Dogwood Dell and Longwood College and has designed and built over 30 productions for Toby's Dinner Theatre in Maryland. Tom worked as a magician for many years and continues to incorporate his passion for magic and knowledge of illusion in his design work.
