Alana is a native of Virginia Beach where she received dance instruction from Academy of Classical and Contemporary Dance. She started college at Longwood and was a member of the Longwood College Dance Company before transferring to Virginia Commonwealth University to pursue a dance degree. But as life always changes she found another passion and ultimately graduated with a Bachelors in Psychology. She has worked for 5 years at Northstar Academy as a life skills, transition teacher, talent show & winter event dance choreographer, cheering coach, lunch lady, bus driver, assistant after school director, prom coordinator & SAT administrator. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Special Education at the University of Richmond. She feels very fortunate to be a part Live Art, and is excited to incorporate her love for all things creative as well as working with children with special needs!
Alex Ginsberg holds an MA in Counseling Psychology with a focus in Drama Therapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies and a BFA in acting from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. She currently resides in RVA working as a Day Treatment Counselor with the New Y-CAPP, Inc. as a Resident in Counseling and collaborates with local arts organizations to integrate the creative arts for healing and personal/community growth purposes.
