Heidi Johnson Taylor

Heidi has performed all over the world including Japan, Hong Kong, and China. Heidi attended Brigham Young University on a Musical Dance Theater scholarship and graduated with a BS in Human Development. She was an instructor and director at Singers Unlimited for over 10 years and was awarded the Best of State Children’s Performing Group for Utah in 2005. Her students have produced their own CD’s, performed in the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, and have appeared in all three of Disney’s High School Musicals movies. Since moving to RVA in the fall of 2009, she has had the opportunity to teach at several schools including Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School. She has been the music teacher and choir director at Saint Mary’s Catholic School since 2012. Heidi has previously served as musical director for SPARC’s productions of TARZAN (2015) and K.C. @ BAT (2016).

When she isn’t involved with music, you can find her at a ball field in her favorite “role” as a baseball mom to her two boys, Carter and Luke.
