Jamie received her Masters in Special Education with a focus on Severe Disabilities from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2012 and has been working at The Faison School for Autism since April of 2008. Recently, Jamie became the Adult Day Support Coordinator within the Faison Centers of Excellence, working with individuals aged 18 and up to design functional and meaningful learning and life experiences, with a focus on self-care, independent living, community, vocational and daily living skills. Jamie has a strong passion towards community inclusion for people with disabilities, especially in recreational activities. In her free time, Jamie enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband, Matt, and their 2 dogs. She and Matt are also very excited to be expecting their first child this year and are looking forward to all the experiences that await them as they start this new journey together!
