Zach earned a Bachelor Degree in Psychology from The George Washington University and a Master’s Degree in Special Education with a focus on Autism Spectrum Disorders from Fitchburg State University. His teaching career began at a pre-school and then with his service overseas in the Peace Corps as a teacher trainer. In addition to working in Richmond Public Schools as a teacher for students with low-incidence disabilities, Zach has taught and provided teacher and parent trainings about autism throughout Africa and Asia. Currently, Zach is the director of Richmond Autism Connection, a place where young adults on the autism spectrum receive individualized support to meet their employment and independent living goals. In addition to private consulting, Zach works with VCU’s Autism Center for Excellence teaching, “Strategies for Supporting Positive Behaviors in students with Autism Spectrum Disorders” and “Evidence-based Practices to Teach Students with Autism Spectrum Disorders”.
