SPARC Offers Something for Everyone in the Summer!
Whether a young person is new to the performing arts or on a path toward a performing career, there are opportunities for all. And with programs from June to August at many different locations throughout the region, you’re sure to find something that fits your schedule and interests.
One-week camp sessions for Pre-K – 3rd grades in two locations. Each session SPARCs boundless creativity through exciting themes and favorite characters. Campers will learn the building blocks of performance, singing, acting, and dancing as they work together as a team to create a final show.
Ages 4 – 5 and Rising K: SPARCLERS Jr.
SPARCLERS Jr. has six one-week sessions running June 18 – July 23, 2018 at Epiphany Lutheran Church & Westover Hills United Methodist Church. Themes include Peppa’s Party, On a Roll with the Paw Patrol, and Ferdinand and Friends.
Rising Grades 1 – 3: SPARCLERS
SPARCLERS has six one-week sessions running June 18 – July 23, 2018 at Epiphany Lutheran Church & Westover Hills United Methodist Church. Themes include The Last of the Jedi, Gnome Place Like Home, and Jurassic Jam.
Four-week camps for rising grades 4 – 12. SPARC’s Bravo camps are our longest running and most popular drama camps. For years, young people have been spending four terrific weeks of their summer with SPARC! Each day is filled with engaging performing arts training such as acting workshops, musical theatre styles, audition skill-building, and creative movement culminating in a final performance.
Rising Grades 4 – 5: Bravo Jr.
Bravo Jr. summer camp runs June 18 – July 13, 2018 at Tuckahoe Presbyterian Church. Campers will explore the performing arts through song and dance, visual arts, improv comedy, all while crafting an original production using innovative student ideas.
Rising Grades 6 – 8: Bravo
Bravo summer camp runs June 18 – July 13, 2018 at Collegiate. Campers will build performing arts skills through workshops such as, acting, musical theatre styles, audition skill-building and creative movement.
Rising Grades 9 – 12: Advanced Bravo
Bravo summer camp runs June 18 – July 13, 2018 at Collegiate. Campers will dive into the world of acting, comedy, and script writing while enjoying an array of performing arts workshops.
Rising Grades 5 – 9
Focus In is a two-week camp running July 16 – 27, 2018 at SPARC. Step onto the red carpet and learn more about the art of film from both sides of the camera! Gain experience in acting and filming for movies and television and will even create independent projects featuring their own ideas.
Presented in partnership with Cadence Theatre Company, August Adventure is one of our most popular camp offerings and has expanded to three locations for each age group. For two weeks in August, students have the chance to rehearse and perform in a musical. The August Adventure Jr. Camp (ages 4 – 9, pre-k through rising 4th graders) will present Seussical KIDS and the August Adventure Camp (ages 10 – 13, rising 5th through 8th graders) will present Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR. August Adventure 2018 camps will run Monday, July 30 – Friday, August 10.
Age 4 – Rising Grade 1: August Adventure Jr. (Half-Day)
August Adventure Jr. half-day camp will be held from 9am – 1pm in three locations. Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat, and all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life onstage in this fantastical musical extravaganza.
Rising Grades 2 – 4: August Adventure Jr.
August Adventure Jr. camp will be held from 9am – 3pm in three locations. Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat, and all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life onstage in this fantastical musical extravaganza.
Rising Grades 5 – 8: August Adventure
August Adventure camp will be held from 9am – 3pm in three locations. The Award-winning animated film comes to life in this romantic and beloved take on the classic fairytale. This fantastic story of transformation features some of the most popular songs ever written.
Auditions for our Summer Musical, Aida School Edition
