Your gift may be designated to help SPARC (a) cover increasing operating expenses, (b) offer more scholarship assistance to talented, needy students, (c) expand operations to reach more students, or (d) create a more secure future.
Basic Operations
SPARC's growth has been phenomenal. Currently, SPARC teaches 2,220 local students and 10,000 statewide. But because we want to keep tuition as affordable as possible, we need your help.
Growing SPARC Scholarships
We want all interested, cooperative young Richmonders to have the lifetime advantages that SPARC training provides.
Our scholarship fund allows us to provide more opportunities to young actors - regardless of their financial situation. Alumni, parents and friends of SPARC give to our scholarship fund each year to ensure that the SPARC advantage is available to ALL young people.
Expanding SPARC
Our goals are substantial. What SPARC can do for Richmond's young citizens is directly related to how quickly we can GROW and become the school that our long-range plan envisions. We need funding to attract and hold the finest faculty and to create and develop exciting new programs for more children. Our growth will happen only with gifts from generous friends like you.
Securing our Future
Your generous gifts to The Director's Fund will ensure that young performers have access to quality SPARC training for many decades to come. SPARC's long-term goal is to have an endowment that is 3 to 5 times the size of its annual operating budget. Such an endowment would provide operating income that would lessen the strain on day-to-day operating budgets (especially in a tight economy), allow us to continue developing innovative programs, and provide more scholarship assistance.
